Aquamarine rough materials

Aquamarine is blue or blue-green Beryl.

It is a good hard material for cutting and is quite popular.

It can be hard to find Aquamarine in dark blue colors. Most Aqua is a light to medium color.

Aquamarine is found in many places in the world. Brazil, Africa, Asia, Afghanistan, and Mt. Antero in Colorado, USA.

This is a piece of Aquamarine from Brazil.

This piece has flaws in it but small stones could be cut from it. Or the large piece could be used for carving.

Mount Antero, Colorado

These are 2 pieces of Aquamarine crystals which are from Mount Antero, Colorado.

They are not from the same crystal. Both have had a piece cut from them. But they have useable clean material for cutting.

Aquamarine crystal

This is an Aquamarine crystal which I found on Mount Antero many years ago.

It has a fairly clean area in the middle which would cut a 6 or 8 carat stone.
