Faceting Large Gemstones
On some occasions we are asked to cut or repair very large gemstones.
Large gemstones can often require special tools and/or techniques due to their size.
One of the most difficult tasks in faceting a large gem is polishing the table. When a table is twice as large, it takes more than twice as much time to polish it. It can often take 3 times or longer to polish the larger table.
