Cutting Tiny cabochons
We are frequently asked to cut very tiny cabochons.
Cutting extremly tiny cabochons can in some ways be more difficult than working on average sized cabs. The stones are harder to see while shaping and fitting so we need to use magnification. The tiny cabs are also harder to keep glued to the dop stick. If the stone comes off of the stick while we are working on it, we may have to spend some time looking for it before we can re-dop it and finish it.
