Re-cutting Faceted Gemstones
There are a variety of reasons that a gemstone may need to be re-faceted. Some of these are covered on our other pages also. This page deals with some re-faceting circumstances which may not be covered on our other category pages.
Sometimes the owner of a gemstone simply wants to change the shape of their gem from an oval to a pear shape. Or they may want to change an emerald cut facet pattern into a radiant cut to make it more brilliant in appearance.
