Nephrite Jade rough
Nephrite is a very tough material which holds up very well in rings as inlays or cabochons. Nephrite comes in a few colors ranging from light to dark green and also comes in black, pink, and white.
Black Nephrite is frequently used as a substitute for black Onyx because of the toughness of Nephrite. See our page on Black Jade for more details.
Nephrite can be a bit difficult to work with at times because it sometimes likes to split when cutting it.
