Ring inlaid with Petrified Dinosaur Bone

Many people like unique wedding bands. One way to make an inlaid wedding band is to inlay it all of the way around with some form of gemstone material.

For those who want a VERY UNIQUE material, we can inlay them with petrified Dinosaur bone.

Below, you will see photos and description of the cutting process.

Petrified Dinosaur Bone slab

We sawed off a slab of the Petrified Dinosaur Bone material to the proper thickness to inlay into this ring.

Petrified Dinosaur Bone carved
to fit the ring

Here you can see how we have carved the 2 pieces of Petrified Dinosaur Bone in 2, U-shaped pieces which connect in the middle to completely encircle this band.

We will now Epooxy them into place. Then grind them down flush with the gold. On these bands, the jeweler wanted the inlay to be domed to match the arc of the bands.
