A jeweler sent us this unique shaped cabochon which had been broken. They needed it matched.
It takes a bit of carving to get the shape correct but we are used to carving more difficult shapes than this.
You can see in the photo on the left that the sample on the right was broken and has been glued back together to illusrate the shape taht is needed.
It is shaped like a stealth fighter plane.
You can now see the Onyx sitting in the ring next to a 14kt gold cabochon. It makes a nice look.
